What to know

In a JMobile project it is not possible to display animated images using GIF files, but the MultiState Image widget allows to create aimations starting from single frame images.

What to do

Online are available some tools, that allows to extract all the frames inside an animated gif file and save them as individual images.

Click the "Upload Images" button and select the .gif file to convert.
At the end of the conversion the "Download it now" link will appear to download the package of single frame files.

To extract the single frame images from an animated gif it is also possible to use tools like Photoshop or Gimp, but obviously the above web site is more simple to use.

Once retrieved all the frame images, it is possible to add it all to a MultiState Image widget.

Setting to "True" the Animation property of the widget, the images will be displayed sequentially inside the MultiState Image widget one after another, with the interval set in "Time interval" property.
