* This operation requires System Settings reset, including Network Settings
** Important! Update to 512MB support is allowed only on HMIs manufactured later than March 2016. Updating older units will break HMIs. This update procedure will delete runtime, projects and any data on HMI. Open README.txt file for more info.
BSP update via web browser
Download "UNXX_BSP_X.XX.zip" file and extract content. Open a web browser, and connect to HMI with this syntax:
https://<ipAddress>/machine_config
From Management tab expand any component and for each one click "Update", then drag and drop files inside the browser and follow instructions.
Recommended sequence:
- update bootloader
- update Config OS
- update Main OS
- System Settings > Manage > Settings > Restore
- System Settings > Manage > Data > Clear
BSP update via USB key
Download "UNXX_BSP_X.XX_autoupdate.zip" file and extract content in an empty USB stick.
Insert the USB stick in the panel and wait for the update procedure to be finished (three acoustic signals will happen at the end of procedure)
NOTE: With this procedure System Settings will be restored to factory settings. System Settings includes Network Settings. This means that it could be necessary to re-set HMI IP Address.
NOTE: When updating from BSP 1.0 to BSP 1.3 data will be automatically cleared.
Download "UNXX_BSP_X.XX.zip" file and extract content in an empty USB stick.
Insert the USB stick in the panel. Enter in system settings (config mode) by powering on the HMI and tap-tapping on the screen.
Navigate in the menu for any components, and select "Download" button for each component. Choose the file in USB Stick path.
