Position Purpose
The Technical Documentation & Product Specialist, collaborating with the Research & Development team and multiple company departments, is responsible for drafting technical manuals, product data sheets, and operating instructions, and assists in the creation and maintenance of bills of materials.
Responsibilities
- Management of item master data and bills of materials (BOMs) for industrial automation products
- Maintaining and continuously improving the company's database of standard manuals
- Management of product assembly procedures (Production Phases)
- Management of installation manuals for industrial automation products
- Management of revisions and versioning
- Collaboration with the Design Team to ensure that technical documentation is complete and accurate and that developed products comply with current safety regulations
- Coordination with other R&D functions to manage product industrialization processes.
- Management of improvement actions and production non-conformities
Requirements
- Experience in a technical design office writing and managing technical documentation
- Ability to create, update, and maintain multi-level bills of materials
- Ability to correctly define and maintain item codes according to company criteria (coding, descriptions, classifications)
- Diploma or degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic engineering
- Excellent English language skills
- Knowledge of CAD tools and layout and vector graphics software
- Knowledge of information systems (ERP/PDM)
- Ability to work with technical standards (ISO, CE, industry-specific directives, e.g., the Machinery Directive applied to industrial plants)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical or electronic design office
