The Project at a Glance
GTech worked with EXOR America to rethink the automation and connectivity architecture of its machines, moving from a fragmented IPC-based setup toward a more integrated platform for HMI, remote diagnostics and industrial data collection.
The project introduced EXOR HMI technology, JMobile and Corvina to bring machine visualization, remote access, VPN connectivity and data collection into one manageable architecture.
The result is a scalable platform that supports current machine development while preparing the ground for future services such as preventive maintenance, customer dashboards and remote support.

GTech’s Challenge
Moving Beyond a Fragmented Machine Architecture
As an OEM, GTech needed a machine architecture that could be easier to manage, easier to support remotely and more scalable across different customers.
The previous configuration worked, but it relied on several separate tools and layers: IPC hardware, Windows environments, visualization software, TeamViewer, PLC programming software and potential additional VPN or gateway systems. This made remote diagnostics, updates, data collection and customer access more complex to manage over time.
The challenge was therefore to reduce architectural complexity while creating a stronger foundation for remote service, machine connectivity and future data-driven maintenance.

Simpler Machine Architecture GTech reduced the number of separate tools needed for HMI, remote access, connectivity and data collection. |
Easier Remote Support Service technicians can access the machine, view the HMI and support customers remotely. |
Data Collection for Future Maintenance Corvina IoT tags help collect vibration diagnostics data for future preventive maintenance. |
“What we needed was a way to bring everything together. With EXOR and Corvina, we can manage the HMI, remote access, data collection and customer access in one environment.
For us as an OEM, that means fewer separate tools, easier support in the field and a better foundation for the services we want to build in the future.”
