Hardware development engineer

Position Purpose

The Hardware Development Engineer, working with the HW Research & Development team, is primarily responsible for developing electronic boards for HMI and IoT products, through CAD design and technical documentation analysis.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Design and develop hardware for IoT devices.

  • Create electrical schematics and PCB layouts using CAD tools (Altium).

  • Manage component selection and BOM creation.

  • Develop and test hardware prototypes.

  • Collaborate with the firmware team for hardware/software integration.

  • Perform debugging and diagnostics on electronic boards.

  • Ensure compliance with EMC/EMI, safety, and technical standards.

  • Support manufacturing in product industrialization (DFM/DFT) and supplier relationships.

  • Identify new technologies to improve products and reduce costs.

  • Travel to the headquarters in San Giovanni Lupatoto (VR) for technical alignment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.

  • Knowledge of Altium Designer CAD software.

  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.

  • Good command of English.

Work location: Bari, with availability for travel to the San Giovanni Lupatoto (VR) office.

Working hours: Full-time, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Classification:

  • National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking and Industrial Sector.

  • Approximate salary: €30,000-€35,000 (defined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria).
