IMET has developed a new generation of machines in collaboration with Exor International and Corvina, introducing a new architecture based on edge computing, advanced HMIs, and remote connectivity. The project has enabled more effective integration of mechanical and software components, improving the operator experience, flexibility, and service management. The result is a more modern, intuitive platform that is ready for future product evolutions.

Integrating Software and Mechanics into a New Development Model
As machinery and market demands evolved, IMET needed to complement its mechanical development with a more structured and integrated software component.
In the past, this aspect was outsourced to external partners, resulting in limitations in terms of flexibility, development time, and the product’s ability to evolve. At the same time, the company was working on a new type of machine—more advanced than previous models—which required a completely different approach, including from the perspective of software architecture.
The challenge was therefore twofold: to develop a new machine and to build a new model for technological management and development in-house.
